Her specialization areas are intimate partner abuse, cultural diversity, divorce, women&#8217;s issues, and qualitative research. She is particularly interested in how issues of diversity and gender are reflected in personal stories. By applying a constructive paradigm, her research examines Korean immigrant women&#8217;s experience of marital abuse and post-divorce adjustment, interracial marriage and adjustment, and immigrant professional women&#8217;s work and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She continues to study aging-related issues, including attitudes toward elderly immigrants, cultural competency, aging &amp; income inequality, and elder abuse.
