{"id":49,"date":"2023-12-14T11:37:04","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T17:37:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/our\/?page_id=49"},"modified":"2025-02-20T08:43:05","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T14:43:05","slug":"past","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/our\/summer\/past\/","title":{"rendered":"Past Summer Scholars"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thanks to the <a href=\"\/qep\">QEP committee<\/a> and the <a href=\"\/ctl\">Connie and Tom Kossen Center for Teaching and Learning<\/a> for helping us launch our first Summer Scholars Research Program in 2019, and special thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/longblueline.muw.edu\/foundation\">MUW Foundation<\/a> for continuing to support and grow this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For our first year to offer this program, we are inviting <strong>faculty and student researcher pairs<\/strong> to submit an application to participate in summer research. Faculty will receive compensation for facilitating a 5-week summer internship, and students will receive tuition for internship credit, and room\/board for either a 5- or 10-week summer term. Students will be asked to present on this research, either at the Undergraduate Research Conference in the spring, or at an external conference of their choosing.
