COLUMBUS, Miss.- Mississippi University for Women will host multiple in-person Commencement ceremonies to celebrate summer 2021 graduates and 2020 graduates.


Commencement ceremonies for 2021 summer graduates will be held Friday, July 30. The ceremony for the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Professional Studies, School of Education, Department of Health and Kinesiology and the Department of Speech-Language Pathology will begin at 10:30 a.m.

The ceremony for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program will be divided into three separate events. Those graduating with the last names beginning with A-GL will begin at 12:30 p.m. Last names beginning with GM-N will begin at 2:30 p.m. Last names beginning with O – Z will begin at 4:30 p.m.

The ceremony for Master of Science in Nursing graduates will be held Thursday, July 29 at 2 p.m.

The university will offer Commencement ceremonies for May 2020, August 2020, and December 2020 graduates on campus Friday, August 6. The application to participate in the 2020 ceremonies has recently closed. Times and ceremony assignments will be made soon based on the number of graduates who wish to participate.

All commencement plans are subject to change at any time due to health concerns and there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. Any changes will be communicated directly to graduates attending the ceremonies through myapps email and the commencement website.

The conferral ceremonies will be live streamed at for family members and loved ones to enjoy at home or on a phone, tablet, or computer. Due to public health measures, there will be no facilities on campus open to view live stream broadcasts.
