The Office of University Relations at Mississippi University for Women won three awards, including two Gold Awards, presented by the Advertising & Marketing Professionals Golden Triangle Region.
Submissions were produced during the 2020 calendar year and distributed to audiences in the North Mississippi/West Alabama market.
The UR team garnered a Gold Award in the Digital Billboard category for the submission The Blue For You billboard created by Chris Jenkins, university photographer, and Erik Studdard, graphic artist. An additional Gold Award was received in the Flyer category for the submission of the Black History Month 2020 Event Calendar created by Studdard.
The staff also won a Silver Award in the Public Relations Campaign category for the Be WISE. Stay Safe. COVID-19 campaign created from the combined efforts of Jenkins; Adam Minichino, communication specialist; Anika Perkins, executive director; Rich Sobolewski, web communications director; Studdard; and Tyler Wheat, communications director.
AMP entries were judged by three experienced professionals within the field of marketing who were outside the North Mississippi/West Alabama market area.
The organization provides networking opportunities for individuals within the advertising and marketing profession who are committed to sharing best practices and advancing creative ideas. It is made up of business, individual and student members who represent a variety of organizations and entities, ranging from higher education to full-service marketing agencies to manufacturing and media.
