Hannah Heaton is a piano performance major with a minor in composition at The W. She was born in Alaska and has lived in Columbus for the majority of her life. She gives local piano lessons and is always ready for more students of any age. Her favorite thing about The W's W music department is the one-on-one student to professor relationships. She is grateful for all of the things they have taught her. Once she graduates, she will be married and plans to continue to build her piano studio and compose.

Heaton’s compositions were featured at the 5th Annual International Music by Women Festival in March. She recently received first place in the 2020 Arnold Salop Memorial Competition, hosted by the Southeastern Composers League, and named the 2020 Southern Division Winner in the Music Teachers National Association Student Composition Competitions.
