COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women’s College of Business and Professional Studies was recently highlighted for offering an online and affordable business degree.

Bestvalueschools.org ranked The W No. 33 in the 40 Most Affordable Online Business Degree ranking.

“As online learning enrollments continue to rise, programs such as the business programs at The W gives students a flexible and high-quality option for earning their degree. We are proud to be recognized as one of the most affordable online programs,” said Dr. Dee Larson, chair of the Department of Business and Professional Studies.

The site highlighted the numerous concentrations offered by The W including management information systems, management, human resource management, healthcare management or general business.

The W’s College of Business and Professional Studies is home to 10 different business administration concentrations, including new added sports management and nonprofit management. The college is also home to the state’s only culinary program to offer a bachelor’s degree and one of the only two legal studies programs to be approved by the American Bar Association.

Larson added,” In addition, The W now accepts up to 90 hours of transfer credit. The Department of Business frequently works with prospective students while they are still attending the community college to ensure they are taking courses that will transfer seamlessly to The W. “

Larson also highlighted The W’s bachelor of applied science degree program which allows students with a completed AAS degree to transfer in a predetermined number of technical credits.
