Zane Lynn\u00a0is a tenor, educator, and church musician who serves as a voice instructor at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi. With experience in higher education, professional performance, and church music ministry, he is committed to cultivating artistic excellence while helping students develop healthy, expressive singing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a performer and scholar, Zane has appeared in concerts, recitals, lecture-recitals, and opera productions throughout the United States and abroad. He has presented and performed at the Annual Music by Women Festival and at the Southern Region Conference of the College Music Society. His operatic roles include Ferrando in Mozart’s Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em> with the Portland Opera Workshop, Herr Vogelsang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor<\/em>, Mayor Upfold in Britten’s Albert Herring<\/em>, and Marcellus in Nancy Van de Vate’s Hamlet<\/em> with the Moravian Philharmonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining the faculty at Mississippi University for Women, Zane taught at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he directed two choirs, taught applied voice, led a music theatre workshop, and instructed courses in music theory. As a dedicated teacher and mentor, he emphasizes technical excellence, musical artistry, and confident performance. His students have earned finalist honors in their respective divisions at both state and regional conferences of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), reflecting his commitment to developing successful young artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to his academic career, Zane has devoted more than a decade to church music ministry, serving congregations in Illinois and Mississippi. His experience includes leading worship, directing church choirs, and developing music ministries that foster both musical excellence and meaningful congregational participation. This combination of academic training and practical ministry informs his holistic approach to teaching, performance, and worship leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zane holds the Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Mississippi University for Women, the Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Mississippi, and the Doctor of Worship Studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. His diverse background as a performer, scholar, educator, and worship leader continues to shape his work as he prepares the next generation of singers and musicians.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
