A prizewinner at the 2002 Meistersinger competition in Graz, Austria, she has sung over 20 principal operatic roles and appeared in several musical theatre productions. Roles she has performed include \u201cLucy\u201d in The Telephone, \u201cZerbinetta\u201d in Ariadne auf Naxos, \u201cGilda\u201d in Rigoletto, and \u201cSister Constance\u201d in Dialogues of the Carmelites, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Hurley\u2019s D.M.A. research was on the theories of Dr. Alfred Tomatis, founder of audio-psycho-phonology. She has since expanded her research to create an introductory workshop in Tomatis Listening, designed to actively explore the role of the ear in singing. She presented her first Singers and Sound workshop with the Valley of the Sun chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing in February 2016. In 2014, she founded an annual AIDS Quilt Songbook benefit concert series commemorating World AIDS Day in Phoenix, AZ.
