In July 1776\, the Continental Congress issues the Declaration of Independence\, insisting on the people’s right to resist tyranny and govern themselves. Learn more about the episode\, the key players\, and critical documents at PBS.\n​The entire documentary is 6 episodes total with each episode running approximately 2 hours in length.
