From art to women's studies, you can choose from more than 26 majors and emphasis areas in eight departments. For many Arts & Sciences programs, you can also earn a minor. In addition, the College offers minors in American Studies, Art History, Film Studies, Foreign Languages, International Studies, Medieval Studies, Philosophy, and Religious Studies.
Arts & Sciences also offers certificate programs in Teaching English as a Second Language.

The College offers eight majors, 10 concentrations, six minors, and five emphasis areas in three academic departments, and provides many online learning opportunities. The College is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs.
If food is your interest, the Culinary Arts Institute offers one of the nation's few baccalaureate programs in culinary arts and is a premier national program that focuses on small quantity from-scratch food. The Institute is a partner with the National Restaurant Association.

Recognized as the strongest in Mississippi and one of the best in the Southeast, The W's Department of Nursing offers programs that lead to an associate, baccalaureate, master's, or doctoral degree in nursing. Both undergraduate programs have an overall pass rate of 99 percent, since the program's inception, on the National Nursing Licensure Exam.
Prepare for your career as a speech-language pathologist with The W's pre-professional bachelor's degree - one of the most challenging academically on campus. You'll have the advantage of small classes taught by active clinicians. And, you'll get hands-on learning with clinical experiences in our Speech and Hearing Center. We have have an outstanding record of ensuring students are ready for further graduate studies, and the department offers a master's degree as well. In the last 10 years, our graduate students have earned an overall pass rate of 99 percent on the Praxis II.
