Toni Seawright Crowned Miss Mississippi

Seawright was crowned Miss W in 1987.  She holds the distinction of being the first black Miss Mississippi and was fourth runner-up in the 1988 Miss America Pageant. 

Seawright went on to become a professional singer-songwriter and an actress, making her Broadway appearance in Street Corner Symphony and Delta Rising.
