Illustrations in books, newspapers, magazines or posters help to communicate the intent of a text. Need to visualize a key moment in a narrative? Or express witty statements about the politics of the day? Illustrating the Point presents a range of ways that artists communicate visually.
The Mississippi University for Women Galleries, located on the first floor of Summer Hall, are open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., following the university calendar.
About The W
Located in historic Columbus, Mississippi, The W was founded in 1884 as the first state-supported college for women in the United States. Today, the university is home to 2,339 students in more than 70 majors and concentrations and has educated men for 40 years.
