History and Legacy of the Pink Tax

March 19 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join WCFR to discuss the history of gender-based pricing and ongoing efforts to reduce that gap. In 1994, consumers were made aware of price discrepancies among clothing items (ladies’ blouses vs. men’s dress shirts) based on gender. We will review efforts to reduce the pricing gap and discuss why, thirty years later, we continue to see price discrepancies among health and beauty products, clothes, and accessories.

Attendees are encouraged to bring feminine hygiene products and supplies for the Women’s College 1884 Fellows’ drive to support the Owl Pantry.

Hosted by: Phi Upsilon Omicron, Alpha Beta Chapter, The W’s Council on Family Relations, Women’s College Student Council
