Celebrating Audre Lorde and the Erotic as Power

On the occasion of her birthday, we will celebrate Audre Lorde—feminist poet, author, philosopher and activist—with a reading of one of her classic essays. This event is in conjunction with Black History Month.

Located in historic Columbus, Mississippi, The W was founded in 1884 as the first state-supported college for women in the United States.
