CAEP Accountability Measures<\/strong> (September 2022 \u2013 August 2023)<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) requires four annual accountability measures that demonstrate accountability and provide information on Mississippi University for Women\u2019s (MUW) School of Education\u2019s initial licensure programs impact, outcomes, and performance to share publicly with stakeholders, teacher candidates, and potential students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data provided on this page reflects data that was collected\/reported in the academic year (September 2022 \u2013 August 2023).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Education Program at MUW and fourteen other public and private higher education institutions annually submit data that is used to establish external benchmarks for Educator Preparation Provider (EPPs).  This information is compiled in an Impact Report, developed to help institutions comply with CAEPs Annual Accountability Measures.  This report, along with other data collected within the School of Education, is used in making data-driven decisions in the EPP\u2019s Continuous Improvement Process.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

EPP Program Completer Survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Survey data was gathered from initial licensure program completers during their final semester. The survey is divided into two main sections. The first part addresses the required coursework by the candidates and impact of the clinical hours experience they completed throughout their time in the program. The second part focuses on the feedback provided about their mentor teachers and university supervisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following an initial survey implemented in the fall of 2021, the Education Preparation Provider (EPP) revised the survey to better align it with the Teacher Intern Assessment Instrument (TIAI). The data collected in spring 2023 will be used as a benchmark for assessing progress and identifying areas that require improvement in subsequent semesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Measure 2: Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement (CAEP R4.2, R5.3)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The EPP at MUW uses employer satisfaction surveys to gain valuable insights into the performance of completers from initial-level programs as they begin their teaching careers. This standardized survey is adopted statewide by all institutions and is conducted annually in May through an online platform managed by The University of Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surveys are structured around the 4 InTASC Domains\u2014The Learner and Learning, Content, Instructional Practice, and Professional Responsibility\u2014which cover key aspects of educator competence. These surveys play a crucial role in assessing employer satisfaction and providing detailed feedback on completer competencies in knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes, which are essential for effective teaching for P-12th grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
