Mission: The Center for Education Support (CES) advances education as the foundation of progress through engagement, outreach, and support that foster lifelong learning, accountability, and regional growth.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Who We Are: CES is the hub of engagement, outreach, and innovation for the School of Education at The W. We connect students, alumni, faculty, and community partners through programs, events, and initiatives that extend learning beyond the classroom. Grounded in hospitality and service, CES strengthens educator pipelines, builds partnerships, and drives regional impact.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

What We Do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mississippi Governor’s School (MGS): Administer Mississippi’s premier residential honors program for academically talented high school students. Through rigorous academic experiences, leadership development, and statewide recruitment efforts, MGS identifies and develops future leaders while expanding access to advanced educational opportunities.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Early Childhood and School Readiness: Advance outcomes for young children and families through initiatives that strengthen early learning, support educators, engage families, and build community systems focused on school readiness and long-term success.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Professional Learning and Workforce Development: Provide continuing education, certifications, conferences, and professional learning opportunities that support educators and professionals throughout their careers while addressing workforce and community needs.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Grants, Projects, and Strategic Initiatives: Develop, manage, and evaluate grant-funded programs and special initiatives that expand educational access, support innovation, and create measurable impact across communities and regions.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Student Success, Recruitment, and Engagement: Support student organizations, enrichment experiences, recruitment efforts, alumni engagement, and community outreach that strengthen the educator pipeline and foster a sense of belonging.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Partnerships and Community Impact: Build and sustain collaborations with schools, businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations to advance educational opportunity, workforce readiness, and regional development.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Accountability and Operational Excellence: Ensure responsible stewardship of resources through effective grant management, reporting, compliance, event coordination, fiscal oversight, and continuous improvement.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Center for Education Support serves as the School of Education’s hub for engagement, outreach, and accountability.
