Individuals applying to The W as a Lifelong Learner may enroll in classes for academic credit, or they may audit courses (no academic credit is awarded).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:26px\"><strong>Requirements and Restrictions for Lifelong Learner Applicants:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">You must be 21 or older.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Lifelong Learning students are not eligible for financial aid, scholarships, or institutional grants (except for senior citizens).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Senior citizens (age 65+) are eligible for a scholarship that covers tuition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Students entering as Lifelong Learners may take courses for credit or audit them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Individuals may not continue to enroll as a Lifelong Learner after earning 21 semester hours of academic credits without special permission from the Provost.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After completing 21 hours of classes for academic credit, students may be required to apply through the regular university admissions process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Classes taken not for credit (auditing) can not be applied to degree programs nor to the Executive Certificate Programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Lifelong Learners should refer to the <a href=\"\/registrar\/academiccalendar\">university calendar<\/a> for general admission deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Students who do not desire to seek a degree but are interested in taking courses for credit (with or without a grade) should apply for admission to The W as a Lifelong Learner. However, students interested in taking non-credit courses should contact the Office of Admissions.
