CAEP Accountability Measures (September 2023 \u2013 August 2024)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) requires all accredited Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs) to report annually on four accountability measures. These measures demonstrate the impact, outcomes, and overall performance of Mississippi University for Women\u2019s initial licensure programs and are made publicly available for stakeholders, teacher candidates, and prospective students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MUW\u2019s EPP has been granted accreditation through Fall 2026 for its initial licensure programs, affirming our commitment to high-quality educator preparation.  The EPP submits annual data, along with data from 14 other public and private higher education institutions, to help establish external benchmarks for EPPs. This information is compiled into an Impact Report, which supports institutional compliance with CAEP\u2019s Annual Accountability Measures. Additionally, this report, along with other data collected within the School of Education, informs data-driven decision-making as part of the EPP\u2019s Continuous Improvement Process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Measure 2: Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement (CAEP R4.2, R5.3)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The EPP at MUW uses employer satisfaction surveys to gain valuable insights into the performance of completers from initial-level programs as they begin their teaching careers. This standardized survey is adopted statewide by all institutions and is conducted annually in May through an online platform managed by The University of Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surveys are structured around the 4 InTASC Domains\u2014The Learner and Learning, Content, Instructional Practice, and Professional Responsibility\u2014which cover key aspects of educator competence. These surveys play a crucial role in assessing employer satisfaction and providing detailed feedback on completer competencies in knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes, which are essential for effective teaching for P-12th grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mississippi Department of Education monitors several key aspects related to educators: their readiness to secure positions aligned with their preparation, the attainment of advanced degrees, and the retention rates of teachers during their initial years in the profession, with a specific focus on first-, second-, and third-year teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
