School of Education COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information

For all Education students, undergraduate and graduate: The faculty are making adjustments now to courses and are putting processes in place to help support you through the remainder of the semester completely through remote, online or other alternative instructional means. All processes, including coursework and advising, will be available to you in ways that support you while you and faculty are working virtually. Look for additional notification concerning course adjustments, changes in advising, and other important processes over the following days.

Call for Presenters

The Mississippi University for Women Gifted Studies program would like to invite you to submit a proposal for the annual Teachers of the Gifted Instructional Forum. You may submit a proposal for a "Bright Ideas" roundtable discussion a 30 minute or one-hour breakout session. We are currently seeking proposals that will help teachers gain knowledge and skills in current issues/trends in gifted education as well as advocacy, leadership, and activities that are engaging gifted students. The proposals should reflect current practices and relate to the conference theme: "SHARING BRIGHT IDEAS."

If you are interested in presenting at TGIF, please complete p. 2 of the Registration/Proposal form and submit to Dr. April Coleman by Monday, February 2nd. All presenters will be notified of acceptance by February 9th.

A complimentary conference registration and meal will be provided for one-hour session presenters, and a $20 discount will be given to Bright Ideas presenters.
