On behalf of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and our partners, we welcome you to the Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teachers and Teaching (ECET2) network and announce the second ECET2-Golden Triangle (ECET2-GT) convening on the campus of Mississippi University for Women.
The ECET2-GT convening will bring together teachers in the spirit of collaboration and learning. We aim to harness the power of teacher leader networks to deepen learning, as well as to improve the teaching practice to better serve students. We fundamentally believe that teachers hold the keys to ensuring policy is well informed, instructional shifts are made with fidelity, and educators are equipped with the right professional development supports to be effective in the classroom.
As such, teachers are the heart of ECET2-GT. Our convening is designed for teachers, by teachers. Over the past few months, our team has worked together to shape goals and content of this convening and position teachers as presenters throughout the event. We are looking for emerging teacher leaders that will discover and exercise their teacher voice in the spirit of learning, collaborating, and celebrating to attend.
Space is limited, but we want to ensure that all slots are filled to elevate and celebrate as many teacher leaders as we can include in this incredible opportunity.
