M.Ed. with Educational Leadership Concentration

Course of Study

Learn to inspire a shared vision, supervise instruction, organize a supportive learning environment, and be an ethical decision-making leader.

The Master of Education with Educational Leadership emphasis consists of 33 credit hours.

Core Courses for the Master of Education:

  • ED 600: Leadership through Action Research
  • ED 614: Leadership through Building a Culture of Professionalism
  • ED 652: Leadership through Curriculum Development and Supervision
  • ED 697: Internship in Masters of Education
  • ED 697: Internship in Masters of Education
  • ED 699: Ethical Leadership Capstone

Emphasis Courses for the Educational Leadership Program:

  • ED 620: Leadership through Building Collaborative Learning Community
  • ED 630: Leadership through Supporting Instructional Supervision
  • ED 638: Leadership through Supporting Diverse Learners
  • ED 640: Leadership through School Management
  • ED 697: Internship in Masters of Education


The Educational Leadership program requires nine credit hours of internship courses.  The internship requirement will be divided into three courses over three semesters.  The requirement can be met through your place of employment if a member of higher administration agrees to be your mentor.
