Illustration of Coronavirus COVID-19

Dear Campus,

Effective immediately, all fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear a face covering while indoors or outdoors.  At this time, this revised guidance does not apply to classrooms or healthcare settings (e.g. Campus Health Center, Speech and Hearing Center).

Anyone who is not fully vaccinated is very strongly encouraged to wear a face covering.  Additionally, those who are vaccinated should feel comfortable continuing to wear a mask if they choose to do so.  Please support all individuals in our community who continue to wear face coverings across campus.

The university strongly encourages all campus community members to get the COVID-19 vaccine and follow the recommendations of MSDH. Mississippi University for Women has further committed to a safe campus community by signing the White House COVID-19 College Challenge.

The White House and the U.S. Department of Education have invited colleges and universities across the country to join the efforts to end the pandemic by signing up for the COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge. The COVID-19 College Challenge is part of President Biden’s National Month of Action to mobilize an all-of-America sprint to get 70% of U.S. adults at least one shot by July 4th.
