Statewide, the seven-day moving average for COVID-19 cases has dropped 92% since January 9. In the three months since February 12, there have been only three positive cases in the MUW community - only two of whom had been on campus in the seven days prior to testing positive. With continued decline in positive cases projected by the CDC over the summer, the Campus Renewal Task Force will continue to plan for the fall with a greater emphasis on personal responsibility as well as strategies and protocols that individuals can enact to keep themselves and their communities safe.
OUTDOOR FACE COVERINGS
Effective May 25, masks will no longer be required outdoors on campus. Masks will continue to be required in all buildings, unless in a space alone.
Students and members of the MUW community are strongly encouraged to follow the recommendations of the Mississippi Department of Health related to taking the vaccine. Vaccinations, which are being administered through the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), will be available in Pohl Gymnasium on The W's campus every Tuesday and Thursday through June. No appointment is necessary.

Good luck, stay safe, be healthy, and remain strong.
