COLUMBUS, Miss. – Juniors in Mississippi University for Women’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program have shifted to remote learning for 14 days to meet classroom physical distancing measures and out of an abundance of caution after four students tested positive for COVID-19 this week.

Over the past two months, the Campus Renewal Task Force has worked toward providing a safe and healthy campus environment for the fall semester. An essential part of their work has involved reducing the number of people in a given location to decrease the risk of spread of disease. The first step was to evaluate class schedules, locations and delivery methods with an emphasis on aligning classes with delivery methods and instructional spaces in which they can be effectively offered.
