{"id":26,"date":"2024-01-27T17:12:23","date_gmt":"2024-01-27T23:12:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/com\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2024-01-27T17:12:23","modified_gmt":"2024-01-27T23:12:23","slug":"filmstudies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.muw.edu\/com\/filmstudies\/","title":{"rendered":"Film Studies Minor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For students interested in a focused study of film, cinematography, and the motion picture industry, the Department of Communication offers an 18-credit hour minor in Film Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minor Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To earn a Film Studies minor, students must complete and pass at least 18 hours of Film courses, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>FLM 101 &#8211; Introduction to Film (3 hours)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FLM 201 &#8211; Survey of Film History (3 hours)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the remaining 12 hours, students may choose a combination of any four film courses at the three and four hundred level. At least three hours must be completed at the four-hundred level.
