Speech-Language Pathology Services

The MUW Speech and Hearing Center is operated as a component of the Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology and offers the following:

Speech-Language Screenings

  • Screening of a child or adult's speech-language abilities
  • Screening of a child or adult's hearing

Speech-Language Evaluations

  • Articulation (speech sound production)
  • Language (oral and written language) for children
  • Language (oral and written) for adults who had strokes or other brain injuries
  • Voice
  • Fluency (stuttering)
  • Auditory processing
  • Dyslexia for children and adults

Speech-Language Therapy

  • Articulation
  • Language (oral and written) for children
  • Language and cognition for adults with brain injury
  • Voice
  • Fluency (stuttering)
  • Auditory processing
  • Aural rehabilitation for individuals with hearing loss
  • Accent modification for foreign language speakers
  • Dyslexia
  • Literacy programs

Services are provided by graduate students under the direct supervision of faculty who hold the CCC-SLP or CCC-A.
