Pre-Health Professional Programs
Dentistry, Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine
Though the requirements of various programs at different professional schools may vary, MUW offers the full range of courses that would be required for admission to a student's chosen professional school. With MUW's small class sizes and personalized instruction, each student is an individual and is provided outstanding learning opportunities from their first class to their last class. All lectures and laboratories are taught by faculty members, allowing students and faculty to easily get to know one other.
Representatives from various professional schools visit campus for recruiting purposes and meet with students. These individuals, such as the Dean of Admissions from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, provide invaluable information about their programs, the admission process, entrance exams, deadlines, and interviewing.
As each of the various professional health schools have different specific requirements, interested students are encouraged to work with their advisors to adhere as closely as possible to the schedule of courses and extracurricular activities listed in the links below.
In recent years MUW graduates have been accepted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the University of South Alabama Medical School, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, Southern College of Optometry, and the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy.
