NCATE (CAEP) Accreditation


NCATE LogoThe College of Education and Human Sciences at Mississippi University for Women is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs at Mississippi University for Women. However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, relicensure, or other purposes.



In 2013, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) merged with Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) to form the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
