Phi Beta LambdaCOLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women will host hundreds of university and community college students as part of the 2014 Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference set for March 26-28.


“Phi Beta Lambda is a student-run organization committed to developing business and leadership skills among its participants,” said Dr. Scott Tollison, dean of the College of Business and Professional Studies at The W.

The annual conference provides students from across Mississippi an opportunity to network with fellow students, learn new ideas about shaping their career and compete in more than 50 business and leadership specific competitive events individually and in teams.

Tollison added, “Hosting the State Leadership Conference not only gives outstanding students across Mississippi the opportunity to showcase their skills in a variety of competitions, but also presents this campus the opportunity to showcase its hospitality and beauty.”

MUW alumnus Joey Barnes, anchor at WCBI TV, will deliver the keynote address at the Opening Ceremony Wednesday, March 26 at 3:30 p.m. in Nissan Auditorium, Parkinson Hall.
