Research interests include media effects & cognition, political communication, and entertainment theory (especially in the area of new media, such as the Web and video games). Research presentations before Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC), International Communication Association (ICA), National Communication Association (NCA), Broadcast Education Association (BEA), Southern States Communication Association (SSCA), Southwest Education Council for Journalism & Mass Communication (SWECJMC), American Academy of Advertising (AAA), and Society for Psychophysiological Research (SPR). Elected officer in SSCA. Published research on video games and political communication. Experience in television production, audio production, and graphic design.
