several disciplines within the College of Arts and Sciences and the
Department of Sociology within the College of Education and Human Sciences.
The minor evolved from discussions in meetings of the American Studies

require no new courses or additional resources. It will appeal to and help
recruit students from abroad. Cay Lollar made the motion to accept the
proposal as presented. Amanda Dahl seconded the motion and was passed
unanimously.
-

certification in Social Studies. This proposal was approved with effective
date of Fall 2009. Amanda Dahl made the motion to accept the proposal as
presented. Rochelle Hughes seconded the motion and was passed unanimously.
