Tennessee Williams Induction

The MSU Riley Entertainment Center in Meridian has created a "Walk of Fame" for famous Mississippi artists. In recent dedication ceremonies Tennessee Williams, Eudora Welty and William Faulkner were selected as the first literary figures along with Mississippi musicians Jimmie Rogers and B. B King. Pictured at the ceremonies are (l to r) Mississippi Lt. Governor Phil Bryant; Meridian Mayor Hon. Cheri Barry; Brenda Caradine, Columbus Tennessee Williams Tribute Chair; Marty Stuart, Grammy Recording Artist from Philadelphia , Mississippi; his wife Connie Smith, Country Music Artist; and Betty Lou Jones, Jimmy Rogers Foundation Chair. Caradine holds a replica of the sidewalk tribute which will be placed in the Tennessee Williams Welcome Center after it is restored.
