Mini-grant Application

The Southern Women’s Institute provides a foundation for research and inclusive outreach through a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of women in both traditional and non-traditional roles. Research will focus on the history of MUW and the position women hold in the culture and foundation of the South, both today and will hold in the future.  Mini-grant funding will be for those research proposals which support or enhance undergraduate course or curriculum development in women’s studies and women’s issues.  Student grants are also available to encourage research and/or faculty and student collaboration on women’s issues, but the grant application must come from the appropriate faculty member.  A committee of faculty, staff and a student will review the proposals and respond within two weeks of the grant application.  The Southern Women’s institute encourages you to apply for a mini-grant of up to $2500 dollars.  The grant period cannot exceed one year and awardees will be responsible for submitting a complete report to the Southern Women’s Institute within sixty days of project completion.

Submit five complete copies to the Southern Women’s Institute in Orr Annex, MUW Box-269.
