Student Organizations

Greek Life & Social Clubs at The W

Social organizations provides a loyal and supportive community in which students can cultivate new leadership skills, academic discipline, event planning, financial responsibility, and social networking skills. Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) at The W serves as the representative body for student needs by being the liaison between students and campus administrators and advocating for student satisfaction and success at MUW.  View the SGA website.

The W Leadership Program

Community Service

The Office of Community Service recruits volunteers from the student body, networks with service agencies in the community that need volunteers, matches and places volunteers with an agency of their choosing. Visit the Community Service website.

The W Traditions

With a rich history and passionate W family, traditions have developed since the inception of Mississippi University for Women.   • Desserts & The Dream Tue. 24 Jan, 2017 (7:00 pm - 8:00 pm) The 3rd Annual Desserts and The Dream Event Tuesday, January 24th at 7:00PM Cochran Hall Limbert Assembly Room The program will recognize and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., feature guest speaker, and special performances by the United Harmony gospel choir Student Organization. Program partners include the Young Black Leadership Association, United Harmony Student Organizations and the Office of Student Life.  
  • Student Presidents Council Meeting Wed. 1 Feb, 2017 (5:00 pm - 6:00 pm) Open to all Student Organization Presidents.  Come learn about what your peer organizations are doing as well as hear updates from offices and departments.
  • 100th Night Thu. 2 Feb, 2017 (6:00 pm - 7:00 pm) The 100th Night ceremony, held since 1992, is an opportunity for social clubs and organizations to honor graduating seniors for their hard work. As the name suggests, the ceremony marks 100 days leading up to graduation. This spring 100th Night we will be honoring all graduating seniors, from May to December. 
  • Developing U Lecture Event Wed. 8 Feb, 2017 (9:00 am - 12:45 pm) Wednesday, February 8Leadership in Intercollegiate AthleticsJason Trufant12noon-12:45pmShattuck Hall Gallery, 1st Floor Leadership in Intercollegiate Athletics is a complex and evolving discipline with the primary focus centered around the student-athlete experience.  Administrators, coaches and staff are tasked with developing unique and impactful methods of communication to guide the student-athletes and colleagues down the path to success on and off the field.
