Student Organizations

Greek Life & Social Clubs at The W

Social organizations provides a loyal and supportive community in which students can cultivate new leadership skills, academic discipline, event planning, financial responsibility, and social networking skills. Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) at The W serves as the representative body for student needs by being the liaison between students and campus administrators and advocating for student satisfaction and success at MUW.  View the SGA website.

The W Leadership Program

Community Service

The Office of Community Service recruits volunteers from the student body, networks with service agencies in the community that need volunteers, matches and places volunteers with an agency of their choosing. Visit the Community Service website.

The W Traditions

With a rich history and passionate W family, traditions have developed since the inception of Mississippi University for Women.   • Blues Week-Common Reading Initiative Speaker Sun. 19 Aug, 2018 (6:00 pm - 7:00 pm) “The South is a strange place, one that can't be fit inside a movie, a place that dares you to simplify it, like a prime number, like a Bible story, like my father.” - Harrison Scott Key, The World’s Largest Man The Office of the Provost and the Student Success Center are excited to bring Harrison Scott Key, the author of the 2018 MUW Common Read, The World’s Largest Man, to the Mississippi University for Women’s campus during BLUES Week. Dr. Key is an award-winning author, playwright and occasional stand-up comedian. He will be speaking in Nissan Auditorium on Sunday, August 19th at 6:00 and will be available to meet with students afterwards. Copies of The World’s Largest Man will be available for purchase in the Parkinson Hall lobby.
