Student Organizations

Greek Life & Social Clubs at The W

Social organizations provides a loyal and supportive community in which students can cultivate new leadership skills, academic discipline, event planning, financial responsibility, and social networking skills. Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) at The W serves as the representative body for student needs by being the liaison between students and campus administrators and advocating for student satisfaction and success at MUW.  View the SGA website.

Community Service

The Office of Community Service recruits volunteers from the student body, networks with service agencies in the community that need volunteers, matches and places volunteers with an agency of their choosing. Visit the Community Service website.

With a rich history and passionate W family, traditions have developed since the inception of Mississippi University for Women.   • Escape Rooms Tue. 21 Feb, 2017 (7:00 pm - 10:00 pm) The Student Programming Board is bringing an exciting nw event to campus!! Come out on Tuesday, Febraruy 21st to see if you can escape!! Read the short description of the escape room below to get yourself ready for the experience.  It is time to see if you could survive the zombie apocalypse.  You have just stepped into the labs of Doctor J.R. Samuels, world renouned scientist for his work with antibiotics.  It is now your job to help Dr. Samuels finish his cure for what appears to be an unstoppable virus.  Your students must find answers in the lab and decipher the great doctors work to save themselves and the world.  You must hurry though, Dr. Samuels may not be the good hearted man that we believed him to be. Escape this mad scientist lab before being turned into a zombie yourself.  Don't let all humanity down.    
  • Black History Month-Leadership in Athletics Wed. 22 Feb, 2017 (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm) W Alumni Carrie-Ball Williamson will share her story from when she was an athlete here at The W, to her current role as the Athletic Director at Itawamba Community College. Refreshments will be available.

  • Student Presidents Council Meeting Wed. 1 Mar, 2017 (5:00 pm - 6:00 pm) Open to all Student Organization Presidents.  Come learn about what your peer organizations are doing as well as hear updates from offices and departments.
