Teachers!

Teachers may take one, two, or three workshops in their grade range (K-4, 5-8, or K-12) in order to accumulate stipends, which will be available.  Each workshop will be worth .3 CEUs and a $50 stipend.  Because CEUs cannot be given below 0.5, teachers must participate in at least two workshops to accumulate CEUs.

1 Workshop =   No CEUs   and $50
2 Workshops =  .6 CEUs and $100
3 Workshops =  .9 CEUs and $150

*CEU and stipend awards are based on full participation

* Registration for Saturday teacher workshops will remain open until 5:00 p.m. the Wednesday before the workshop.

Spring 2010

In January or early spring, we will hold several backyard astronomy sessions at Plymouth Bluff for the community.  These will be open to the public.  Watch our website for details.

Possible Saturday Teacher Workshops in Spring (5th – 8th and 9th – 12th grades):

  1. Statistics and Data Analysis – Dr. Bonnie Oppenheimer of MUW
  2. Physics – Mr. Dennis Reed of MSMS
  3. Anatomy and Physiology – Dr. Shyam Heda of MUW
  4. Genetics or Biochemistry – Dr. Lauren Brandon of MUW
