MUW Science Enrichment Program

A week of environmental science and discovery at Plymouth Bluff Educational Center, Columbus, MS

The Department of Sciences and Mathematics at Mississippi University for Women is pleased to offer a weeklong workshop for middle school teachers in July and a weeklong workshop for middle school students, also in July.

Workshops will be held at Plymouth Bluff Educational Center and will be taught by MUW faculty members.  Hands-on science activities, data collection, and data analysis will occur, both outdoors and on the MUW Explorer (pontoon boat equipped as a floating laboratory). 

These workshops are funded by the Plymouth Bluff Center for Scientific and Historical Enrichment project, a congressionally funded grant through the U.S. Department of Education.
