Suzanne Ries
Assistant Director of Facilities and Aquatics

Suzanne joined the Office of Camus Recreation in June 2006. She received her BA in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Recreation Administration, from Spring Arbor University where she also served as the Women's Intramural Director. Suzanne has her Master of Arts from Central Michigan University in Recreation and Parks Administration. She also served as the Graduate Assistant of Facilities for University Recreation at CMU. Suzanne is proud of being a part of a great team here at MUW

"Coach" Rita Higginbotham
Assistant Director, Intramural Sports

Coach Rita was born in Macon, MS. She attended University of West Alabama. She was the first female inducted into the Univ. or West AL Sports Hall of Fame, in October 28, 1995. She has worked at the W since 1982, where she coached softball, and recently, has become Director of Intramural Sports. "The thing about this job that gives me the most satisfaction is planning and organizing programs, and then watching the students enjoying and benefiting from their participation in those activities."
