Orientation sessions set for new MUW students

COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Mississippi University for Women is preparing for upcoming orientation sessions to help incoming freshmen and transfer students transition into college life.

Orientation sessions for transfer students will be Friday, June 1 and Friday, July 13. Freshmen sessions will be held Monday, June 4 and Monday, July 16.

Students will be welcomed by MUW President Jim Borsig, have the opportunity to register for classes, meet with advisors and deans, learn about campus offices and involvement and meet new and current MUW students. Orientation also offers programming for family members who wish to learn more about MUW.

Jessica Harpole, MUW coordinator of leadership and service, said, “Whether for first time students or transfers from another institution, orientation is a great way for students and their family member to become familiar with our campus culture and processes.”
