MUW police officer and his wife win `Dream Wedding'

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Sgt. Randy Vibrock, an officer with the Mississippi University for Women Police Department, and his wife Brooke received a wedding of a lifetime as winners of the “Dream Wedding” contest given by WCBI-TV.

“We had an on-camera audition. They asked us some questions about our relationship and what our dream wedding would be like,” said Vibrock about attending the Bridal Showcase in July. WCBI then sent videos of all the contestants to the sponsors and they selected the winning couple.

Randy and Brooke were married on the lawn of the Jackie O’ House on Oct. 1. Interested individuals can get a glimpse of their special day when it airs on WCBI on Nov. 10 and 17 at 6:30 p.m.

"Both of our families live far off, so to me, having all of our closest friends and family all together at the same time to be a part of and share that day with Brooke and I was really special," he said.

Several individuals and businesses came together to make the day special including two of MUW's own--Marion McEwen, who served as ceremony coordinator, and Angie Atkins, who provided catering and floral designs.

Other sponsors were Kay's Kreations, House of Tux, photographer Katie McDill, Video Magic 1, Rex's Rentals, deejay Scott Burns, Leo’s Luxury Limos, Rae's Jewelry, Belk, Party and Paper, Serendipity Salon and Bella Derma.

The couple will honeymoon in Orlando, Fla., at the Disney World Resort later this month.

Vibrock, who is pursuing his teaching degree from MUW, joined the police department in April of 2009. He is also a personal trainer at Stark Recreation Center. Brooke graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in psychology. The couple has a dog named Naomie that they adopted from the humane society.
