MUW’s Office of Continuing Education to offer life enrichment courses for fall
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women’s Department of Continuing Education will offer 33 courses as part of its community Life Enrichment Program, beginning Monday, Sept. 19.
“So far, our most popular courses for fall are Latin for life, social bridge for beginners, a discussion of the book, `The Seven Deadly Sins,’ digital photography, antiques, needlework and a course in which participants tour local bed and breakfasts,” said Dr. Barbara Moore, director of continuing education. “But, by far, our most popular course for fall is The Doctor Is In, in which 15 local doctors will be talking about their fields.”
Other courses that will be offered include social media, social dancing, flower arranging, French, quilting, scrapbooking and financial literacy.
Courses in the Life Enrichment Program are taught by volunteers from the community who are experts in their field. The fee for each term is $35, which allows participants to take as many courses as they like for the term.
