MUW Homecoming April 15-16

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women will welcome alumni and guests back with a host of events as part of its Homecoming celebration scheduled for April 15-16.

Mary Margaret Roberts, MUW executive director of alumni relations, said, “We are delighted to welcome our alumni to the campus to reconnect both with old friends and the university. We hope alumni will have a wonderful time not only reminiscing about the past but also learning more about MUW as it exists today and for the future.”

Preparations are currently under way to ready the campus for the many activities planned. A recently held campus cleanup included faculty, staff and student volunteers who weeded and mulched flower beds as well as other general grounds work.

Jessica Harpole, MUW coordinator of leadership and service, said, “We were very excited to have student and staff participation. The projects gave volunteers more appreciation for the work that the grounds crew does everyday.”
