Regional Science Bowl to be held at MUW
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Approximately 75 high school students from throughout the state will compete at the annual Regional Science Bowl to be held on the campus of Mississippi University for Women Friday, March 4.
The competition is being hosted by MUW’s Department of Sciences and Mathematics from noon until 7 p.m. in Parkinson Hall.
Fifteen teams will participate and compete for scholarships, trophies and the chance to move on to the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C.
Outstanding individual performances will be awarded with scholarships. A $3,000 per year scholarship will be given to the individual with the highest score, two $2,000 per year scholarships will go to the students with the next two highest scores and one $1,500 per year scholarship will be given to the participant with the next highest score. These scholarships are renewable for four years provided that satisfactory scholarship progress is made.
