MUW Science Enrichment Program presents Backyard Astronomy workshop

COLUMBUS, Miss. -- The Science Enrichment Program at Mississippi University for Women will present its final Backyard Astronomy workshop for the semester on Friday, March 25.

David Teske of Rainwater Observatory will lead the session, which will be held at the Plymouth Bluff Center located on Old West Point Road in Columbus. Teske will provide an overview of stargazing, constellation and moon observation concepts. Participants are encouraged to bring telescopes, binoculars and chairs to view the stars from the parking lot.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Registration is not required, and all sessions are free and open to the public.
