Lee Renninger installations currently on display at MUW

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Mississippi University for Women Department of Art and Design is currently displaying Lee Renninger: Recent Installations at the Eugenia Summer Gallery.

The exhibition will run through Thursday, Nov. 4. There will be a reception held on Friday, Oct. 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Renninger said as part of her artist statement, “Much of my work has evolved from a fascination with repeated patterns and multiple objects. It is primarily clay based but often incorporates other media in an installation format. While clay is most often associated with fine craft and functional objects, I use it conceptually stretching the boundaries of the material in an effort to challenge the accepted ideas of how clay should be used.”

The Eugenia Summer Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located on the southwest corner of the MUW campus, directly east of the Stark Recreation Center.
