Programs at MUW focus on women's health
COLUMBUS, Miss. - Mississippi University for Women’s Department of Health and
Kinesiology and Baptist Memorial Hospital are sponsoring two luncheon presentations as part of Women’s Health Awareness Week.
Radiation oncologist Robert Jones, M.D., will present “Breast Cancer – What Are My
Options” on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
On Thursday, Oct. 21, otolaryngologist Joseph Boggess will present “Headache, Congestion & Fatigue.”
“The Master of Science in Health Education program and the Department of Health
and Kinesiology are looking forward to, once again, working with Baptist to raise awareness and educate about health risks facing women. These presentations are an opportunity for our community to get new ideas, information and access to resources on a variety of health issues,” said Dr. Irene Pintado, assistant professor of health education.
Both luncheons will begin at 11:45 a.m. and will take place in Pope Banquet Room on the second floor of Hogarth Dining Center.
The luncheons are free, but tickets are limited and must be reserved in advance.
