Nawrocki’s prints to be shown in exhibitions and competitions
COLUMBUS, Miss. - Tom Nawrocki, art professor at Mississippi University for Women, has prints selected in the following art exhibitions:
- Deep South Eight State Print Exhibition at the Hammond Regional Art Center in New Orleans, La.
- 72nd Exhibition of the American Color Print Society at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts in Philadelphia, Pa.
Nawrocki will have shaped dimensional digital prints, color intaglio diptych prints and mezzotint prints accepted in the following art competitions:
- PRAYERS FOR LITTLE SOULS, International Traveling Exhibition, Remembrance of
- 2008/5-12 Sichuna, China Earthquake, Hong Kong, China.
- 7th International Miniprint Triennial, Lahti Art Museum, Lahti, Finland. (Nov. – Jan. 2011)
- Market Street Arts Festival, Columbus (1st Place Three-Dimensional Art Award)
- PRINTS: NOW IN 3D, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Minneapolis, Minn.
- Pacific States Biennial National Print Exhibition, Center Gallery, University of Hawaii at Hilo.
- TRANSFERRING INK 2, National Print Competition, Fallbrook Art Center, Fallbrook, Calif.
Nawrocki has taught printmaking and fiber arts at MUW since 1970. He was selected as the 2006 Visual Artist of the Year by the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters.
His works have appeared in more than 400 state, regional, national and international art competitions. He also has participated in shows in Korea, Poland, The Netherlands, Japan, Brazil, India, Germany, The Czech Republic and many others.
