MUW students put their skills to the test at Career Marathon
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women students will have an opportunity to make themselves more marketable to future employers through pointers gained at the Career Marathon.
Students will hear from Antoine Moss, a nationally recognized motivational speaker. Moss, who is from Berea, Ohio, is known for his unique delivery of “Learn to Intern CEO Style,” which also is the title of his new book.
He will speak on Monday, Sept. 20 at 3:30 p.m. in Nissan Auditorium, Parkinson Hall.
“We are encouraging teachers, community leaders, church groups and advisors to bring high school juniors and seniors to hear this dynamic presentation,” said Towanda Williams, MUW career services assistant director.
Williams added that she hopes MUW students will gain a better perspective of the services they offer while they engage in events that will help them prepare for the job market.
Students must attend various events such as business etiquette, mock interviews and resume writing to be eligible for awards and prizes such as flash drives, a cell phone, gas card, laptops and Kindle.
