MUW commences Transfer Registration Day
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Office of Admissions at Mississippi University for Women will launch its first ever Transfer Registration Day to be held on April 30. The day is intended for all transfer students who have been admitted for summer or fall 2010.
“This is an opportunity for transfer students to do some one-stop shopping,” said Cassie Derden, director of admissions. “Students will be able to register for classes, order parking decals and get their W ID card.”
Check-in will be from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. with lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. Banner Web training will follow immediately after from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. all to be held in the Pope Banquet Room. Advising, pre-scheduling, financial aid, community living and the ID office will be available from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. in McDevitt Hall.
“This is a great opportunity for transfer students to come and meet with an advisor and tour our historic and beautiful campus,” Derden said. “We have over 70 registered to come, but expect more to register before April 30.”
Campus and residence tours will be available throughout the afternoon.
If students are unable to attend, they should call the Office of Admissions and set up an appointment with their advisor to pre-register.
