Anderson has essay published
COLUMBUS, Miss. -- Dr. Brian Anderson, professor of political science at Mississippi University for Women, had an essay published as part of "The Ashgate Research Companion to U.S. Foreign Policy."
Titled "An Era of Global Change: The Post-Cold War Years," his essay analyzes major U.S. foreign policy decisions and trends from the 1991 Gulf War up to the beginning of the Obama administration.
The book is edited by Dr. Robert Pauly of the University of Southern Mississippi and features essays by 12 other authors covering different eras and geographic regions of interest.
The essays are source intensive and are intended to be used by professors and graduate students to gain insight into the key writings on specific foreign policy topics.
Dr. Tom Velek, professor of history and director of the Ina E. Gordy Honors College at MUW, served as one of the principal reviewers of manuscripts for the book.
Anderson received his doctorate and master’s in political science from Pennsylvania State University and his bachelor’s in international relations from the University of Virginia. His areas of specialization include political parties, U.S. foreign policy and terrorism.
He has taught at MUW since 1998.
