Dining etiquette dinner at MUW set for Feb. 25
COLUMBUS, Miss.—The Office of Career Services at Mississippi University for Women will host its annual dining etiquette event on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pope Banquet Room of Hogarth Dining Center. The theme is Elite Dining and students will learn proper dining etiquette and attire for interviews.
Towanda Williams, assistant director of career services at MUW, stated, “We feel that this program will enlighten our students to what employers are looking for and will increase their confidence level when they attend interviews and business-related functions.
Only MUW students and invited guests may attend this event. It is free, but each student must have a ticket to enter. Tickets will be available in the Office of Career Services on Thursday, Feb. 18 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dr. Pat Pesci, also known as Mr. Etiquette, will be the guest speaker for the evening. He is the director of the hospitality management and dietetics program at Kansas State University. He has been conducting dining etiquette workshops at Kansas State for more than 15 years. He has worked with groups on and off campus, instructing professional behavior and etiquette.
